The Campaign for Free and Fair Election (CaFFE) has disclosed that several buses from the depots of Wennappuwa, Chilaw and Puttalam have been taken away for the public rally of President Mahinda Rajapaksa scheduled to be held today (December 16) in Chilaw.
Some 30 buses from a fleet of 53 have already been taken away from the Chilaw depot while 22 from a fleet of 33 buses from the Wennappuwa deport have been taken away.
CaFFE has already made a written complaint to the Elections Commissioner citing a violation of the election law on the matter.
