Pevidi Handa suspends Satyagraha for Mahinda Featured

A Satyagraha of Buddhist monks planned by Pevidi Handa to protest the withdrawal of Army security for ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa has been suspended.

It was due to begin at Dharmapala Park in Galle.

The suspension follows a meeting president Maithripala Sirisena has given to Pevidi Handa to discuss the matter, Ven. Muruttetuwe Ananda Thera told the media at Abhayarama Temple in Narahenpita this morning (09).
