After a clash in Parliament on the day before yesterday, UNP MP Sandith Samarasinghe was admitted to the General hospital.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya says the incident is a black mark in the parliamentary history.

According to Political analysts, this is the first time that blood was shed in an attack in the Chamber.
