The protest movement will kick off this noon at many prominent hospitals in the country.

The demonstrations will mark the GMOA's protest against the recent tear gas and water canon attack against a group of protesting medical students.

However, patients will not be inconvenienced and treatments will take place as normal, GMOA secretary - Dr. Nalin Herath added.
