He has revealed this during a meeting with a group of MPs, Provincial councillors, Local Government members and party activists in Galle yesterday (29).

The President has said he had learnt of a notorious and powerful cabinet minister.

He has also emphasised that measures will be taken against all politicians joining the conspiracy to destroy the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, which will take the form of the May Day rally being held on the wants of a small group of non-SLFPers.

Not weak

He has also said that he has remained silent for one and half years not because he is weak but after considering the party.

However, if the notorious conduct hindering his 'Good Governance' programme continues, the President said that he is prepared to face it.

Those who consider him weak will be able to perceive how the party will be purged from May 02 onwards, the President had sternly said.
