According to the Chairman of the Committee of Public Representations on the Constitution (CPRC), Attorney Lal Wijenayake, requests were made from JVP twice and no response has received to date.

The committee was established on 08th January. It was perviously announced that the final report will be submitted to the President and the constitutional council at the end of this month.

However, submission of the final report will be further delayed , Wijenayake stated.
