There is talk that Avanthi Kumara Jayatilake, chairman of Property Development Plc., which comes under Kabir Hashim’s State Enterprise Development Ministry, is one of the Sri Lankans named in Panama Papers.
When contacted, secretary to the ministry Ravindra Hewawitharana told Sri Lanka Mirror that the ministry has received no such information.
Jayatilake is presently overseas.
Listed in the stock exchange, Property Developers owns the building where the Bank of Ceylon has its headquarters, reports say.
