The government says they intend to set up a separate ministry over affairs related to constitutional reforms.

Speaking at the radio programme - 'Neth FM Unlimited', last night (10), Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that constitutional details have presently initiated a broad dialog within the society.

Meanwhile, internal government sources relate that President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to make a special statement in the next few days with regard to a constitutional reforms proposal, which includes a constitutional amendment needed to strengthen the Good Governance of the country.

Accordingly, the President is to include 'an implementation of a new constitutional amendment after abolishing executive presidency' to his policy manifesto that will be launched on behalf of the future presidential election.
