He said that the list of Sri Lankans already unveiled is an old one which he had perused 1 1/2 years ago as a list of Sri Lankans who deposited money in Switzerland.

Stern punishment
Meanwhile, JVP MP Bimal Rathnayake says that immediate measures should be taken to look into individuals who are maintaining offshore accounts while evading tax.

Tax evasions lead to persons acquiring unlimited wealth and secret offshore accounts are being in countries such as the Seychelles too, not only in Panama, he added.

A crime
Speaking, minister of Justice - Wijayadasa Rajapakshe says that evading tax is a crime according to the laws of Sri Lanka.

However, laws pertaining to finance differs from country to country, he added.
