The film, made under the banner of ‘Sipwin Films’, is directed by Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne and produced by Gunapala Rathnasekara.

The film is based on the book ’Anusha ha Rajakumaru’ by late writer - Letitia Botejue.

Music will be by Dr. Rohana Weerasinghe while songs will be sung by Wisharada Nanda Malini and Rodney Warnakula.

While an elephant calf named ‘Raju’ plays the main role, Kaushalya Fernando and Yohani Hansika take up the two lead child roles.

The talented cast also includes Ravindran Randeniya, Dhananjaya Siriwardena, Tharuka Wanniarachchi, Giriraj Kaushalya, Rodney Warnakula, Duleeka Marana, Kumara Thirimadura, Sarath Kotelawala, Wilson Gunaratne and Deepani Silva.

The announcement was made before media recently and a young calf doomed to die was released to invoke blessings on Letitia Botejue.
