VHEC rebranded as EDULINK International Campus

VHEC rebranded as EDULINK International Campus

Victoria Higher Education Campus (VHEC), which has won the trust and confidence of both students and parents by delivering quality higher education for over two years, has been rebranded as EDULINK International Campus (EIC) in order to further enhance its service offerings.

With this rebranding Edulink International Campus will pursue its vision of elevating the standards of higher education in Sri Lanka with renewed vigour. The Campus will offer world class degrees from the prestigious University of Greenwich and other leading UK universities to Sri Lankan students with an exciting new corporate image.

Outlining the rationale for the rebranding, Campus Director - Mr. Kanishka Weeramunda said, "We have been in the Sri Lankan market for three years and, with an in-depth understanding of the Sri Lankan education industry, we have understood that adopting the name EDULINK will help us in building a global brand due to the greater recognition it gives us internationally."

Mr. Bharath Ratteshwal (CFO of EDULINK Consultants/ Financial Director of EDULINK International Campus) explained about EDULINK Consultants :

"EDULINK International Campus is fully owned by Edulink Consultants, a multinational higher education company which has been in operation since 2004. Edulink Consultants is the leading company in the Edulink Group based in Dubai and is a multi-faceted educational services provider that has built strategic partnerships with renowned academic institutions from across the globe. Our vision is to provide quality education at affordable price.

Mr. Bharath speak about the reasons students should choose EIC for their higher education, particularly with regards to the facilities and the staff of the Campus.

The EIC campus is equipped for 1,000 students and offers state of the art facilities which are second to none. These include a library, IT labs and Wi-Fi accessibility across the entire campus. The minimum qualification of our academic staff is a Masters Degree with a minimum of five years experience. Part time faculty is one of our greatest strengths as most of them come from the industry with great industry exposure and higher academic qualifications. Non academic staff are equally qualified with professional qualifications or a higher academic qualification as well as a number of years experience in the same capacity".

EIC works closely with the Sri Lankan Ministry of Higher Education in supporting its aim of becoming an educational hub of excellence in the region. It has developed close partnerships with other reputable organisations, such as the British Council and the British Computer Society in Sri Lanka. EIC interacts with leading employers in Sri Lanka in order to enhance employment prospects for graduates and to provide internships for current students.

Speaking further, Weeramunda said, "Apart from all above factors, we are known for CSR initiatives for industry development in all those counties, especially as education sector developers. Therefore we would like to contribute to the Sri Lankan education industry also with our international scholarship programs. We are under discussion with the Sri Lankan government, as well as a few other countries on this proposal. One special factor we need to highlight is that we are trying to come up with a special scholarship program called 'Ranaviru Scholarships for Our forces' to honour their services."
