Accordingly, fares on buses operating from Maharagama to Matara along the Southern Expressway have been reduced from Rs.500 to Rs.445 and from Maharagama to Galle from Rs.420 to Rs.375.

The Ministry of Internal Transport said that Kaduwela to Matara busfares have been reduced from 500 rupees to 460 rupees while bus fares on Colombo-Katunayake Expressway has been reduced from Rs.120 to Rs.110 with immediate effect.
