China's biggest gingerbread house unveiled!

Chefs have created what is named as the biggest Christmas gingerbread house in China inside a shopping mall in central China's Xi'an.

The massive biscuit mansion was unveiled over the weekend and people visiting the shopping centre now have the chance to take their whole family inside and take pictures

The building itself is 10 feet tall, and 14.7 feet wide and long. It has two small bedrooms and a cosy living room, enough for a family of four to live comfortably inside.

It took a team of more than 10 chefs 10 days to build the house with 20,000 gingerbread biscuits and one tonne of icing, working 24/7 until it was finally complete.

During the creation of the impressive biscuit mansion, pastry chefs offered master classes to passers-by who helped build the large creation.

Baking gingerbread houses has long been a Christmas tradition across Europe, but it's a relatively new concept in China.
