Human flag on top of world's tallest building

As if dangling from the top of a 400-metre building was not enough, one fearless thrill-seeker has taken the human flag trend to new heights.

Brave Abudi Alsagoff, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, climbed 200 flights of stairs to the top of the 101 Marina in Dubai, to perform what is fast becoming the bizarre fitness craze of the year.

The 24-year-old, a professional freerunner and parkour athlete, who completed the climb on July 18, specialises in gravity-defying stunts, but has never attempted this particular move at such at height before.

He said: 'It took about an hour taking the stairs and the challenge during the climb was that there was no air ventilation because the building is still incomplete.

'It felt really incredible as you get to enjoy this breath-taking view where nowhere else is offering.

'The dust and sand in the air make breathing even worse, and there were no lights, it was completely dark so we had to use our phone's LED light. But overall it was a good experience and the view was well worth it!'

The 101 Marina, within Dubai's 50million square foot Dubai Marina, is the world's tallest residential building - standing at a stomach churning 1,420 feet, giving it some of the most spectacular views of city.

The human flag trend took off back in April when pictures of fitness coach and former rugby player Dave Jackson were shared by online fitness communities, triggering a string of copycat attempts to imitate the pose.

To complete the manoeuvre involves holding onto a vertical surface, such as some scaffolding with both hands and lifting your upper body to a horizontal position using upper body and abdominal strength.
