Lasith Malinga, though still to recover fully, is to rejoin the team for the T-20 Asia Cup in Bangladesh that starts on February 20, Sri Lanka Cricket sources say.

His intention to play as the non-playing captain is for him to quality for selection for the World Cup.

Naming a team for the Asia Cup has been delayed due to issues in the team, mainly due to failure of new players to perform up to expectations during the Indian tour.
