ICC reinstates SLC’s full membership Featured

After Sri Lanka Cricket’s (SLC) elections held on January 3, ICC has decided to reinstate its full membership status according to a media release issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The decision comes following an ICC Board Meeting held in Dubai, where SLC was represented by its Vice President Jayantha Dharmadasa.

“SLC is now entitled to full funding and attendance and voting rights at the Board and Full Council,” ICC, in its release stated.

SLC was barred from its voting rights at the ICC meeting held in April 2015 and was granted observer status.

The ICC did not fully recognize the interim committee appointed by the then Minister of Sports, Naveen Dissanayake.
