The coach has sought the ‘favour’ on account her son, who is in the district’s under-15 pool.
The man had not been punished for the offence during the previous Sri Lanka Cricket administration, although its corruption investigation unit found him guilty.
Only his dividend had been curtailed.
More offenders found guilty
Meanwhile, reports say a person in the present Thilanga Sumathipala administration is trying to avoid punishment for SLC employees who had been found guilty during the previous management, of disciplinary charges.
Among them is the physiotherapist for the under-19 team, who had tried to sexually harass a girl during a private physiotherapy session.
She has sent a letter of demand to SLC, describing him as a dangerous person, who was not fit to be employed.
Another, an overseer, had not been punished although he was found to have stayed at SLC overnight and consumed liquor on several occasions.
The probe against him had been covered up in return for his having helped to bathe the pets at the former SLC secretary’s home.
Questions have also been raised with regard to a marketing manager and a female secretary who had submitted a faked bill.
