The balls have been brought in to help increase visibility when the floodlights are beaming above the action at the Adelaide Oval on Friday.

Australia and New Zealand are facing off in the revolutionary Test match which could create the much-needed spark to reinvigorate the Test game.

Interest in the match has been rife all over the world, while teams have undergone practice matches under lights to get to grips with the new pink ball.

The ball is the result of years of developments for the sole purpose of use in day-night matches.

The third and final Test between Australia and New Zealand will be the first to be played under floodlights using a pink ball. Australia lead the series 1-0.
