Avishka to assist Roger in U-19 Cricket World Cup

Former Sri Lanka Test cricketer Avishka Gunawardene has been appointed as the assistant coach of the Sri Lanka Under 19 team to Roger Wijesuriya.

Gunawardene who is on a two-year contract with Sri Lanka Cricket will continue to work with the Under 19 team during the forthcoming World Cup in 2016, states an SLC media release.

A hard-hitting left-handed opener Gunawardene played in six Tests and 61 ODIs for Sri Lanka from 1998-2006.
