He has been reportedly urging minor staff of the SLC to write to the SLC interim committee and the Sports ministry, requesting for a salary raise.

The interim committee too, has learnt of this.

He has been engaging in this activity while handling a portion of administration duties during the absence of SLC CEO Ashley de Silva, who is currently overseas.

Earlier, Ashley had made a similar suggestion to the Interim committee noting that the SLC staff were not given a salary raise in two years.

However, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns during the previous SLC salary raise that took place at the SLC two years ago, 20 persons including Ashley have doubled their salary.
