He retires from Test cricket at the end of the ongoing Test match against India.

Hi Guys – Thanks everyone for all the amazing support this week. Really touched by all the kindness and grateful to you all. It’s been an honour and a privilege playing for Sri Lanka and I consider myself very fortunate for having been given the opportunity. I hope I can finish on a high with a series-clinching win over the next four days. Should be a great day of cricket today at the Oval. Cheers, Sanga
