Dilshan passes 10,000-run mark

Tillakaratne Dilshan has joined an elite club of international cricketers by reaching 10,000 One-Day International (ODI) career runs, during the 5th ODI against Pakistan at Hambantota yesterday (July 26).

He is the 11th international cricketer to achieve this feat and the 4th Sri Lankan after Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya and Mahela Jayawardene.

Dilshan reached the milestone in his 293rd innings and boasts an average of about 40. 

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka  won yesterday’s match against Pakistan by 165-runs. However, Pakistan bagged the series 3-2.
