Extensive investigations have commenced regarding a man by the name of Wasantha Dissanayake, who is believed to have sent an email that led to the news item that was published in the Sydney Morning Herald web site, claiming that Maithripala Sirisena had obtained bribes from an Australian company for irrigation projects to be implemented in Sri Lanka through his coordinating secretary, during his tenure as the Agriculture and Agrarian Services Minister.
