His personal drivers W. Chandana, K.V. Sujith Samankumara, M.A.D.D.G. Gunatilake have lodged a complaint against him.

Presently the WPC health minister, Somawansa has rented the jeep bearing no. XX 8773 for a team of Indian tourists on March 24 last year for Rs. 145,750, the payment he has received by cheque (559094 and 559093).

Also, Somawansa has rented the jeep for a team of managers from foreign countries to visit the Bogala graphite mine for Rs. 129,200.

Out of that sum, Rs. 100,000 has been deposited in his Bank of Ceylon account 7079810.

Responding to the allegation, Somawansa said he would wait patiently as the truth will prevail.
