The OIC of the TID at the time, the presently Tangalle ASP, has already been summoned twice by the CID over the murder.

If a suspect is acquitted and discharged by a court, that suspect cannot be summoned again, but investigations can be relaunched on the basis of newly-acquired evidence.

The CID has now been able to gather strong evidence with regard to the Wickramatunga murder, and all suspects freed by courts have been summoned to the Fourth Floor.
