Sirisena has already gone on record as saying that there will be four chairs kept ready for four government politicians who will be present for today's meeting in Kandy.
The main reason for Siyambalapitiya leaving the government is said to be over the quota of jobs he was promised at the Sri Lanka Telecom. He was assured of granting jobs to 60 employees to fill vacancies, but 40 of it was given to Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa.
He is said to have shown his displeasure over the raw deal at a meeting with President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Minister Siyambalapitiya is known to have been critical in his views of government policies and is a close aide of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaranatunga.
