The Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) is now holding a protest demonstration in front of the Department of immigration and Emigration, Colombo.
Noting that today marks 150 days since Kumara Gunaratnam was detained, the protesters are calling for his release.
'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns that the protesters are raising black flags and blocking the entrance to the building.
FSP politburo member Kumar Gunaratnam was yesterday (31) sentenced to one year’s imprisonment with light labour.
He was arrested at Anguruwella in Kegalle on November 4 last year on charges of violating immigration laws and was in remand custody since then.
