Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister Faizer Mustapha says that although certain individuals are attempting to limit the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to a mere wooden board, no one will be able to do so.

Speaking at a media briefing today (28), the minister said that the SLFP and the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) belonged to party members, not to Chandrika, Mahinda or Maithripala.

Won't fall

Noting that he condemned the plan to hoot at UPFA leaders during a recent meeting, Mustapha said that such actions cannot subdue the UPFA.

He added that all leaders should come together to safeguard the party.
