Speaking at the media briefing held at the SLFP headquarters on Wednesday, State minister of resettlement - M.L.A.M. Hizbullah had stated in Tamil that the President has ordered to resettle IDPs in their native lands.

At the same media briefing, he had stated in Sinhala that displaced persons would be resettled in lands not required by the security forces.

Hizbullah has further said in Sinhala that the military camps established on lands formerly owned by civilians, would not be removed.

He added that 11,000 persons in the North - East area are yet to settled permanently.
