Calling for a fertilizer subsidy and a proper price for tea leaves, they marched from the P.H, Buddhadasa ground to the ministry of plantation Industries, before handing over an epistle to minister Navin Dissanayake.

In response to the demand for a fertilizer subsidy, the minister said that measures would be taken to ensure this would be granted to the growers in two weeks' time.
