Thamilini died due to cancer some time ago.

Before her death, she wrote her life story and her widower got it published.

The Tamil language version is to be launched on the 19th, and the widower had gone to Kilinochchi police to obtain permission for the launch.

Police said that permission could be given only if pictures of Thamilini in LTTE uniform and the LTTE flag were removed from the cover page of the book.

Since this book has been printed legally with an ISBN number, Thamilini’s widower told us that police rejection was questionable.

Now, advice has been sought from the attorney general’s department regarding the matter.

Also, Thamilini’s widower is to be arrested by police for publishing the book, reports say.
