Wheat flour price increases

The price of wheat flour has been raised by Rs. 7.20 per kilo from midnight yesterday (12).

Accordingly, the new price is Rs. 97.20 per kilo.

The Consumer Affairs Authority says it is yet to be informed about a price increase.

The CAA says it will raid traders who sell at higher prices.

The Bakery Owners Association president N.K. Jayawardena said, they too, were yet to be informed of such a decision.
