No positive response from govt. - Hakeem Featured

Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) - minister Rauff Hakeem has said despite briefing the government about the administrative and political issues faced by the people of the areas they represent, the government is yet to express a satisfactory response on this regard.

Noting that the SLMC is expecting the government response, Hakeem has said that the SLMC is yet to decide whom they will back at the forthcoming presidential election.

Manifesto

Speaking further, Hakeem has said that discussions were held on Friday and Saturday with MPs, Provincial Councillors and Pradeshiya Sabha members from Muslim residential areas.

He further said that the SLMC is keenly awaiting the policy manifesto of the government as well as that of the common candidate.
