It is said that Amarajith has been reinstated following a request made by the Prime minister's office.

Amarajith was said to be suspended on charges of making 'malicious' comments on the 'Danno Budunge' song sung by Kishani Jayasinghe on Independence Day.

The Prime minister had heatedly criticised the presenter's conduct on this regard.

According to reports, the PM's office has stated the PM had merely criticised Sanka's fault and shown him the correct path. Therefore, the office had asked if Sanka was suspended based on the PM's statement, to please reinstate him.

Accordingly, Sanka is to appear on Derana TV today (04).
