Speaking at an prize giving event yesterday (26), the minister said that education is the ‘passport’ that enabled children to travel successfully to the future.
Showing the correct path for children to conquer the world, by correctly stamping the ‘visa’ on this passport is the responsibility of his ministry, he added.
Noting that many countries could fall into anarchy due to leaders evoking racism and extremism, the minister said that South Africa was able to stand up again due to farsighted leaders such as Nelson Mandela who rejected all forms of racism.
