Speaking to BBC Tamil service, the minister has said that a people friendly decision would be taken soon.
Noting that the Muslim masses (that is around 10 pc of the entire population), had suffered at the hands of the LTTE in the past, the minister has said that they are now facing hardships due to the conduct of organisational bodies such as the Jathika Hela Urumaya and the Bodu Bala Sena.
Under such a backdrop, a decision must be taken after much foresight, the minister has added.
As the Muslim masses in Sri Lanka are concerned about their security and existence, the Muslim leadership is facing a struggle when taking a decision with regard to their conduct during the Presidential election.
