Traitors will not be allowed - PM Featured

Prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said in Hambantota today (20) that no one will be allowed to sabotage his programme to generate good jobs for youths who are unable to eke out a living.

It is the traitors who disrupt the programme to grant one million jobs for the youths, he told journalists during a project inspection tour to Hambantota.

They are opposing the employment generation programme as they think the programme will hinder their attempts to return to power by creating chaos in the country, he charged.

No one will be allowed to disrupt the programme launched by the government which has a parliamentary majority.

Wickremesinghe accused government doctors of having raised their hands in support of white vans, repression, corruption and denial of democracy during the Rajapaksa regime.

Although issues affecting the GMOA have been removed from a proposed agreement with India, doctors are warning of strike action, he said, adding the media should highlights attempts by them to kill people.

The government is not afraid of this intimidation, and several organizations will get together to hold a protest against this on March 15, said the PM.

The government will act according to the mandate it has received, and the public can take a decision after the five years lapse, he said.

He went onto charge that certain businessmen too, were aiding attempts to sabotage the government programme, but said he would not reveal their names.

The PM first inspected the Mattala airport, and given below is the audio of the statement he made to the media after the tour:https://soundcloud.com/srilankamirror/ranil-wicramasinghe-hambanthota
