Yesterday (16), a group of residents commenced a protest demonstration, obstructing the bridge, after a team from the Urban Development Authority demolished several unauthorised homes near the Ferguson Road in Thotalanga.

The protest created a massive traffic congestion from Peliyagoda to Thotalanga lasting for several hours.
