Meanwhile, MP Thilak Marapana is to appointed to a cabinet position, most probably the lands ministry that fell vacant following the death of M.K.A.D.S. Gunawardena.
Marapana had to relinquish his position as the law and order minister over the Avant Garde case.
MP, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has delayed taking oaths as a minister as he wants to do so on the 9th of a month due to his belief that it is a lucky number for him, reports say.
