The head office of the new political party to be led by Basil Rajapaksa with Mahinda Rajapaksa’s blessings will be opened at 10.00 am tomorrow (12) at Nelum Mawatha, Jayanthipura near the parliamentary complex.
Its name will be Nawa Sri Lanka Nidahas Pakshaya (New Sri Lanka Freedom Party), with the flower bud as the symbol.
Issuing a statement, the ex-president requests all Sri Lankans to rally against attempts by the government to betray the country and the war heroes.
