A student of Sri Jayewardenepura University, W.G. Amal Ratna Bandara, lodged a complaint with the IGP against this in December, but nothing has materialized yet (the complaint is given below).

Meanwhile, the Lanka Medical Officers Union has complained to the police chief that the hospital was misleading the public by claiming it to be a teaching hospital.

Its registration does not say it to be a teaching hospital, as it has no facilities to function as one, the complaint says.

This complaint too, is yet to be responded to.
