Perera has stated in a letter to the Elections Commissioner that all family members of the candidates also be subjected to the Act and submit their Assets and Liabilities.
He has informed the Elections Commissioner that he has made the call for the declaration of Assets and Liabilities as a voter entitled to do so and has listed five points in the letter.
Perera has also told Deshapriya to stand firm as an independent public official answerable to the voters.
