It was Etisalat SIMs that extortionists operating from prisons and racketeers involved in lottery scams had used.

The SIMs had been issued at the mere producing of a photocopy of a national identity card.

Meanwhile, Chesmi Consolidated Pvt. (Ltd.) had given Rs. 25 million to CSN channel, reports say.

Chesmi’s directors are Himal Lalindra Hettiarachchi and Rangani Hettiarachchi, the children of Mahinda Rajapaksa’s elder sister.

Their only business is to serve as Dialog agents in northern and eastern provinces.

The FCID is investigating as to how Chesmi has earned massive income purely by that function.

Also, Dialog is involved in an attempt to prevent revelation of frauds committed by members of the Rajapaksa family.

The FCID is also investigating Chesmi’s having given Rs. 15 million to Namal Rajapaksa.
