Former Minister of Public Management Reforms Navin Dissanayake has charged that so-called patriots in the government were mere actors who are actually plundering and robbing public funds.

He made the remarks in an interview the BBC's Sinhala service Sandeshaya.

"In reality this talk about files is meant to fool the people. If there are files (about corrupt ministers) why are they not revealed.

 Is it to hold ministers who remain in the government to ransom so they will not leave", former Minister Dissanayake said in the BBC interview.
