This is the first time that a Sri Lankan leader is taking part in the WEF.
On the sidelines of the forum, Wickremesinghe has held talks with heads of several international companies, who have agreed to enter into major investment deals in Sri Lanka this year.
Among them are Philip Lighting of the Netherlands CEO Eric Rondolat, head of TATA Cyrus Mistry, McKinsey Asia region chairman Kevin Sneader and Bahrain Petroleum honorary chairman Sheik Salman Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
This afternoon, PM Wickremesinghe met with his Swedish counterpart Stefan Lofven and Turkish premier Ahmet Davutoglu.
He is due to hold talks with Mocrosoft chairman Jean Philippe Courtois tomorrow.
Minister Malik Samarawickrama, Central Bank governor Arjun Mahendran, ambassador in Switzerland Ravinatha Aryasinha, additional secretary to the PM Saman Athaudahetti and personal assistant to the PM Sandra Perera also attended the discussions.
