However, it is said that the Association has not briefed the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) on this regard.

The CAA recently said that they will commence raids if prices of bakery goods are upped without notice.

However, the All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association says that such raids cannot be done as there is no price controls for bakery goods.

Mr. Jayawardena also said that bakery owners are also facing hardships when selling their goods at higher prices.
