The Sinhala-language Catholic weekly - Gnanartha Pradeepaya (Lamp of Wisdom) will celebrate 150 years today (11) under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The celebration will be held at the Bishop’s House, Colombo at 3.30pm and will be attended by a large number of clergy and lay guests.
The Gnanartha Pradeepaya, is the official publication of the Colombo Archdiocese. The publication, which commenced on is currently a 24 page paper distributed nationally.
