The SLFP is having talks within its ranks to reach common consensus with regard to the proposed constitutional amendment.
Several ministers from the party are now having discussions with SLFP MPs of the joint opposition.
 
MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage has told ‘Divaina’ that they would discuss with party leader, president Maithripala Sirisena and get their proposals included in the constitution.
 
He also said the unity now prevalent in the party would help form a SLFP government.
