The occasion was a photographic exhibition in view of the first anniversary of presidency.

Seeing Devapriya in conversation with his friends, the president went to him and got Warnasinghe too, to join them.

Then, he put each of his arms over their shoulders and asked photographers to take the ‘picture of the day.’

That was followed by Devapriya and Warnasinghe shaking hands.

An onlooker said in the presence of the president that it would be better if Warnasinghe was returned his portfolio.

The president only gave a smile and continued to chat with others.
