The terms of the municipal councils of Colombo, Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, Moratuwa, Gampaha, Negombo, Kurunegala, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Galle, Matara, Hambantota, Ratnapura, Anuradhapura and Kalmunai, Kolonnawa urban council and the pradeshiya sabhas of Kotikawatte-Mulleriyawa, Kundasale, Kadawathsathara and Gangawata Korale, Matale, Hambantota and Suriyawewa are to expire today.

 

The gazette notification will extend their terms until June 30.
